2017 Kia Optima

The value of the newly released Optima is undeniable. Not only does it offer cutting edge technology and luxurious comfort, it also offers some exciting power options. Regardless of the high end appeal, the starting price still aligns with its lesser endowed competitors in the market.

The exterior design of the Optima has sharp edges and hard lines encircling its sleek body that have been optimized for aerodynamics. The iconic tiger nose on the front fascia is paired with elongated headlights available in LED, with Dynamic Bending Light and High Beam Assist. The cabin boasts an exceptionally quiet ride thanks to enhanced insulation, improved body stiffness, re-contoured mirrors, and sound absorbing windows. The unassuming dash is a simple layout with easy to use controls and an acclaimed 8-inch UVO touch screen. The soft touch materials are clearly of the upmost quality and have the styling equivalent of a luxury class vehicle.

The Optima offers three different engines. Base LX and EX models come with a 185-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. This combination has been highly esteemed for smooth and responsive shifting. If you’re looking for a little more power, the turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine backed by a reliable seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission may still be a better option for you. The most powerful available engine is the 245-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine powering the SX and SX Limited trims- offering an exhilarating drive well suited for all you adrenaline junkies out there.

Standard technology features include Bluetooth connectivity, a rearview camera, remote entry, and a tilt-and-telescoping steering column.  The much admired UVO infotainment system offers typical connectivity integration such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and App compatibility. The outstanding tech feature that the Optima sports is GLS, a google program that helps you find points of interest with local search assist, coupled with Google Send-to-Car so you can send destinations- with directions- straight to the car from your smartphone.

The 2017 Optima embodies Kia’s continued commitment to safety, using more than 50% Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS). The design of the inner body has been redesigned for optimum rigidity, earning a 5-Star Crash Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). It comes standard with advanced passive safety features, like the comprehensive airbags and seat-belt systems, as well as active safety features like blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking.

The 2017 Kia Optima is a great addition to the quality cars Kia produces. Kia is slowly gaining momentum by consistently providing alluring options with a lot of substance. The latest Optima is a perfect option for buyers who desire to have a classy-looking vehicle which has a lot of substance and value.

Kia Niro Released!

The Kia Niro: A Completely Redesigned Crossover

The Kia Niro boasts an intelligent aerodynamic design that has been meticulously sculpted with clean lines to minimize drag and enhance its already impressive fuel economy. Unlike conventional hybrids, the Niro does not sacrifice attractive design for fuel efficiency. It features sleek black accents and a glossy, black radiator grille with chrome trim that create a bold look.

The Full Parallel Hybrid System is what drives the Niro's innovative powertrain. The hybrid optimized 1.6 L gasoline direct injection engine is coupled with highly efficient electric motor and a powerful lithium-ion polymer battery that provide reliable and efficient performance. The regenerative braking system captures kinetic energy and in effect, it charges the battery every time you brake for maximum fuel economy. The Niro also sets itself apart from other hybrids with a highly responsive, 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that shifts gears smoothly and quickly.

The interior is laden with plush amenities like soft leather seating with heat and ventilation. The Integrated Memory system remembers mirror and seat settings for up to two drivers, and the seat offers lumbar support with 10-Way Power adjustments. The steering wheel is heated as well. Along with this, the Niro offers a spacious cabin with concealed storage. The interior is given a distinctive and calming atmosphere with subtle yet dramatic red tinted mood lamps.

Kia offers DriveWise, a suite of driver-assistive technologies that make driving safer. The Forward Collision Warning System gives audible and visual alerts when it detects potential hazards on the road, and the Autonomous Emergency Braking automatically applies brakes when a frontal collision is anticipated. The Niro offers an array of other safety-enhancing technologies such as cameras and sonar sensors that help increase your scope of vision and eradicate blind spots.
